The ISO 15189:2012 standard specifies requirements for quality and competence in medical laboratories. Τhe ISO/TS 22367:2008 standard proposes a methodology for finding and characterising medical laboratory error that would be avoided with the application of ISO 15189. Therefore, the purpose of this health care training program is to inform the participants about the requirements of this standard and to present information, techniques and tools in order to effectively manage risks by reducing errors and improving the patient’s experience at all levels.
