Health and Safety Training for employees assigned as ISPP (ΕΣΥΠΠ) is required by the Regulations 158/2021 on Occupational Health and Safety, which initially applied on April 2021, replacing previous regulations. They include regulations for Health and Safety Committees and are accompanied by four decrees, concerning the establishment of committees, training, the determination of the number of representatives and the consultation of employers and employees.
The employer is obliged to appoint the members of the ISPP (Internal Services for Prevention and Protection) (ΕΣΥΠΠ), in writing and to train them in accordance with the legislative requirements. The minimum training is set at 35 hours. Inspectors of DLI now have the ability to impose fines of €500 for each violation.
